What students say

Real stories from real students

Don't just take our word for it — here's what students from across Canada and around the world have to say about learning with Henna.

★★★★★

Henna made French feel possible for the first time. I went from zero to passing DELF A2 in eight months. Her grammar explanations finally make sense — and the speaking practice every week was a game changer.

★★★★★

I needed B1 French for my Canadian PR application and was completely lost. Henna built a clear plan, gave me weekly homework, and corrected every mistake. I passed on my first try with a great score!

★★★★★

After trying apps and YouTube for two years, one month with Henna taught me more than all of it combined. She's patient, kind, and actually teaches you to speak, not just memorize words. Highly recommended!

Common questions

Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know before you start. Have another question? Just ask us.

I'm a complete beginner. Is this for me?
Absolutely! Our DELF A1 course is designed for people who have never spoken a word of French. We start from the alphabet, basic pronunciation, and everyday phrases — no prior knowledge needed.
How long does it take to reach DELF B1?
With consistent practice (about 2–3 hours per week including class), most students go from zero to DELF A1 in 3–4 months, A2 in another 4–5 months, and B1 in 6–8 months after that. So roughly 14–18 months from absolute beginner to B1. Faster if you can dedicate more time.
Are classes one-to-one or group?
Both! You can choose private one-to-one classes for the fastest progress, or join a small group (max 4 students) for a more affordable, social experience. Both options include the same materials and exam prep.
What do I need to start?
Just a computer or tablet with internet, a notebook, and a willingness to make mistakes. We provide all the learning materials, audio files, and exam practice papers.
Do you offer a free trial class?
Yes! Every new student gets a free 20-minute trial class where we assess your level, talk about your goals, and answer all your questions. No commitment, no credit card needed.
Which countries do you teach in?
Henna is based in Canada and teaches students from anywhere in the world via live online classes. We currently have students in Canada, the United States, Pakistan, India, the UAE, the UK, France and beyond.
Do you offer refunds?
Yes — if you're not happy after your first paid week, we'll refund you in full. After that, we offer pro-rated refunds on unused classes. We want you to feel safe trying us out.
